Needs are unique 
What you need is not always an "off-the-shelf" solution. Companies spend many thousands of Rands developing systems that give them the edge. These systems need support and often need continued development as system requirements change.
Many of these systems start out as small applications developed by someone in the IT department. This person then leaves and the system becomes unmaintained. Before this causes a complete stand-still, let us take over the management of the software.

Retainer contracts 
Retainer based solutions are there for an ongoing relationship. Premier Software have retainer based clients that have been with us for over 15 years! Retainers allow for a number of hours to be included in a monthly contract. Hours over this are billed at the normal rate (or at a stepped rate). This solution is best suited for ongoing development.
Other points
Source code is required so that we can maintain the system for you. This is often a problem if the maintenance of the system has been allowed to slip by. Additional tools (compilers etc) may be needed, in which case you will be quoted for the tools required as well.
Rights to your software should never be an issue. Some outsourcing agents try to tie you down to ensure that their income stream is secured. Your code is your code and we only keep it to ensure your continued success. We will never "hold you over a barrel" by witholding your code. We believe in adding a value and that is what you pay for - we are not into the ransom demand industry!
Depending on your product range, you may need more than one service provider. We can integrate with other parties and even recommend third parties for PLC programming, for example. We write code - but you might need more than that.
